African drums, Flamenco, Dance, Hip Hop, Indian tabla's, Cuban rumba's and much more. It all comes together in Drums Uniteds thrilling new show Ritmo Inferno.

 

Drums United is an explosive and exiting world-percussion group led by dutch topdrummer Lucas van Merwijk, that brings together rhythms and percussionists from all directions.

Drums United is much more than just a percussion group. It's a real smoking live band that, besides of giving you the joy of listening to first class players, also spreads the underlying and positive message to the world that people with different cultural backgrounds can really work together .

 

In Drums Uniteds current program "Ritmo Inferno"as well as in their former tours 'HIT' and 'World of Rhythm', the group combines African, Latin, Spanish and Indian drum traditions with western drumming, using the possibilities of today's electronics. The group was founded in 2002 and has been busy touring constantly eversince.

 

The band consists of 9 percussionists with 7 different nationalities; Senegal, Spain, Surinam, Venezuela, Bangladesh, The Netherlands and Germany.

Drums United takes aunique place in the world of percussion groups by combining elements of a global richness of drums with dance and vocals.
